Editing - Day 1

We focused on the flashback scene of the film. The flashback focused on the events that lead up to Edward leaving his wife and home. To make this seem more dramatic, there was a fast cutting rate. We also cancelled out the sound and instead, added background music to make the scene to  make it seem more intense and so that the audience would focus on Edward’s actions. We then had to ‘desaturate’ the flashback scenes to create a black and white effect. This made the audience aware of the event happening in the past.
